Meizu’s newest flagship, the MX4, has already sold almost 8 million units with no sign of slowing down, so it makes sense that Meizu are planning to release variants of its most popular device to date. One such variant, the MX4 Pro, has already been in the rumor mill for a while. We previously reported that the MX4 Pro could have up to 4GB of RAM (this no longer seems to be the case) and today we have a little bit more information regarding the Pro’s specs and release date.
Under the hood the MX4 Pro is rumored to have 3GB of RAM and a Samsung Exynos 5430 octa-core processor which it will need to perform smoothly with a 5.36-inch QHD (2560 x 1536px) display. Its also rumored to have a magnesium alloy body not unlike the one found on the HTC One (M8). It will allegedly have the same camera array as the MX4, including a 20.7-megapixel rear sensor. Considering these rumors aren’t quite consistent with past rumors, its best to take these specs with a grain of salt. That being said, whether it packs 3GB or RAM or 4GB or RAM, the MX4 Pro is shaping up to be a beast and with a rumored October 26th release date, all of our questions should be answered soon.
