Google’s services generally don’t reach every region that the search engine touches right away, typically they roll out for North America, UK, and a few other major regions and then trickle down from there. This applies to Google Play Movies, product releases like the Chromecast, and even Google Play Music All Access. While Google Play Music All Access has been around in the U.S. for a while now, Google has just updated their list of available countries where it’s available to use, with two new additions to the list.
Google Play Music is reaching two South American countries today, although only one of them gets full availability to the All Access part of the service unfortunately. If you live in Brazil or Uruguay, Google Play Music is now available to use in both those locations, but only Uruguay is getting All Access for some reason. This is of course only a couple more countries out the list of other locale that Google most likely has planned to expand into, for now though it’s limited to these two. Even though All Access isn’t coming to Brazil just yet, users of Google Play Music in that region will still be able to purchase and download, or upload from their own library and store all of the music they love in their Google Play Music library for playback online or offline any time they wish, whether they want to stream it over their cell network or wifi connection, or play it offline if it’s stored locally.
Users in Uruguay will now have all of that plus the awesome All Access services which allows users to take advantage of downloading full albums and songs to their library that they neither own nor have purchased, thanks to the monthly fee of All Access that basically opens up a world of music at your fingertips. In addition, users in Uruguay can also now use the All Access service to listen the “I’m Feeling Lucky Radio” which will pick random music artists from stuff they’ve listened to recently and stream it continuously just like a radio station. Now for some silver linings for the users in Brazil. At this point in time, All Access is technically available if you have and use a Galaxy S 4 or 5, or the Tab S, and will reach all Samsung device owners by November 1st, with no restrictions on device type by the end of 2014. Although this locks out plenty of users in Brazil for the time being, a partnership with Samsung in Brazil is the reason why it has rolled out this way.
