App Developer Shiftyjelly Bringing Pocket Casts To PC Browsers

AH-Podcast-11

Sometimes listening to your favorite radio shows isn’t always within reach, that is unless you have a podcast app. Podcast applications can be great for access to your favorite radio shows as well as listening to the audio from video podcasts, like the Android Headlines Show podcast for example, any time and anywhere as long as you have a data connection. Some podcast apps even let you save podcasts for offline playback so you can listen to them even if you have no connection to your network, or if you’re running on a super slow connection that isn’t necessarily optimal for streaming. One fairly popular podcast app called Pocket Casts, has just announced that they’ll be bringing users some pretty awesome new features which you might find come in handy.

Although Pocket Casts is a great application for use on the phone or tablet so you can listen on the go, if you’re like me you probably have better audio than the speakers on your device hooked up to your PC. In this case, listening to Pocket Casts through the PC might be a more enjoyable experience, if the feature was available. Thanks to the attention to detail and commitment to fans of the app, developer Shiftyjelly will soon be letting users do just that, listen to Pocket Casts through their PC’s browser with an upcoming browser based version of the app.

For now, the browser version of Pocket Casts isn’t quite ready, but it will be soon. You can even get into the beta to use and test the app before it gets a final release. How do you get access to the beta to listen to your favorite podcasts through your browser? You’ll sign up for the beta of course, a task that’s simple enough right? You can do so by heading to this link, which will let you access the beta signup page, so if you’re already a user of the app on mobile and would love to have access to a browser based version, here’s your chance to do that. Has anyone ever used Pocket Casts before? If so, how do you like it compared to other apps? Will you be signing up for the beta? If you haven’t yet tried Pocket Casts and want to see what all the fuss is about, you can grab the Pocket Casts app for Android in the Play Store for $3.99.
