Originally unveiled in May, The Oppo N1 Mini has found its way back to the spotlight on the Indian Oppo Facebook page. The lead caption in the post says, “Revolutionary 24 Mega Pixels Ultra HD Camera, Coming Soon!.” Following the caption are words on the image itself saying, “Mini in size, Max on fun.” From the looks of things, the Oppo N1 Mini may finally arrive after a couple of months of being silent.
So revolutionary eh? What makes this phone special is the 24MP Ultra HD camera that’s on board. But do not get confused, the 24MP camera is actually a 13MP camera that swivels back and forth. So when taking shots of the city, you can turn the camera onto yourself and snap a bunch of selfies without physically turning the phone. So why does the caption say 24MP? Well the Oppo N1 mini features a Sony lens that has a sensor size of about 1/3.2″. The lens also uses Super Zoom mode which was first found on the Oppo Find 7. With all of that found within one camera lens, 24MP photos are produced.
Other than offering an astounding 24MP camera, the Oppo N1 mini packs some nice hardware. Starting on the outside, the N1 mini has a 5 inch screen with 720 x 1280 resolution. With a resolution like that, pixel density is about 294ppi. Under the hood, is a MediaTek octa-core chip and 1GB of RAM. Powering the device is a 2140mAh battery. Overall, we have a well established device with an extraordinary camera. The main focus for this phone is more than likely the camera itself. Most phones that you run into nowadays may have the standard 8MP camera or something like a 16MP that can be found on the Galaxy S5. This phone simply has a 13MP camera that swivels from front to back and generates 24MP images. Pretty cool if you ask me. There’s no word on a release for this phone but we should expect it to be sometime soon. Let us know what you think about the Oppo N1 mini. Will the camera be a main attraction for this handset?
