The metal shell for the upcoming Huawei Ascend D3 has leaked online and it has a mysterious cutout. As you can clearly see, it’s below the main camera lens so it could very well be a fingerprint scanner or it could even be a secondary camera lens, similarly to what is on the HTC One (M8). It’s also possible that it could be some sort of rear power and/or volume controls.
The Ascend D3 will most likely be unveiled next month at IFA, and is rumored to feature a 6-inch (1920 x 1080) display, a homegrown Huawei octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 920 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing camera, and Android 4.4 KitKat.
