Whenever we purchase a new mobile phone, we tend to become preoccupied with the specification of the device and its unique features. The main reason for this is the desire to increase user convenience, as multiple updates and separate releases can cause additional disruption to the performance of handsets.

While it has yet to be seen whether other companies will follow HTC’s lead, the majority of customers’ should expect their handsets to be updated by the end of August. This includes the HTC One M7, which emerged as the firms’ flagship handset in 2013 and has experienced significant sales volumes to date.

While some question the regularity of Android operating system updates, there is little doubt that they serve a clear purpose and enhance the user experience.
