One of the key features to Amazon’s Prime service — besides convenient two-day shipping — is access to Amazon Instant Video and to a smaller degree the original programing that the company offers, for instance, the show Betas. For those that use the service, and watch the shows, Amazon’s about to make your viewing experience a bit more detailed. While the company did announce that it would be shooting its original series line up in 4K, that would then be streamed to Samsung’s UltraHD TVs it was unknown as to when that would happen. Until now.
Starting this October Amazon will be streaming these shows in 4K, at least that is, according to Samsung. The company revealed the date in an announcement stating that it would support Amazon’s Instant Video UHD streaming on most of its current and future 4K televisions. Of course, so far there’s no one else who’s come out and said that they will support this bump in quality but if you have one of these TVs from the Korean company and are a subscriber to Prime, you’re a little over a month away from higher quality original programming.
