An unknown Motorola device just past through the FCC that is likely to be either the Moto S or the Nexus X. The model name is listed as 3578, which isn’t the typical Motorola scheme. It’s usually “XT” followed by a number. So what makes us believe it’s a Moto S or a Nexus X?
Well the listing shows the device’s display to be 149 mm or 5.87-inches diagonally. We know that Motorola is working on a Moto S in both the 5.2 and 5.9-inch variety. We also know the Nexus X is supposed to be 5.9-inches.
I suspect it’s a Motorola branded device since the Nexus X probably won’t be released until late October. It’s probably a tad early for the FCC approval. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think we will see the Moto S next week in Chicago, I just think that it will probably get unveiled before the Nexus X.
