It’s almost that time. Almost time for Motorola to announce a few new DROID devices and a new Moto X. As it was last July that Verizon and Motorola announced the DROID Ultra, Maxx and Mini and in August Motorola announced the Moto X. So rumors are beginning to fly, fast and furious, as expected. According to Evleaks, it looks like the codenames of the DROID Maxx and Mini have leaked out. The Abbagoochie is said to be the next DROID Maxx, and the Valocia is the next DROID Mini. Now these are kind of weird codenames, but Motorola is kind of known for that. So far that’s really all the info we have on these two devices. But if the Moto X+1 is said to have a 5.2-inch display, I’d expect the DROID Maxx to be about that size with a hefty 3500mAh or larger battery inside. While the DROID Mini would probably sport a 4.5-inch display. Since the DROID Mini last year was 4.3-inches.
Recent leaks of the Moto G2 have also been showing up lately too. Which is said to be the successor to the Moto G. This is going to get confusing because we already have two devices named G2. The HTC G2 and the LG G2. Guess it’s kinda like everyone calling their phone the “One” these days. Motorola did some pretty interesting things last year with their lineup. Bringing in lower-end specs, but still having high-end prices and performance. It’ll be interesting to see what Motorola has up their sleeve for 2014. But remember these devices were developed under Google’s ownership as the Lenovo deal still has not been finalized and approved. How many of you are interested in a new DROID Maxx or DROID Mini?
