It appears as though we may have gotten yet another peak at HTC’s upcoming smartwatch. In the company’s own “behind the scenes” promotional video, we caught a glimpse of the device charging on an employee’s desk, giving further legitimacy to past rumors.
We first heard about HTC’s smartwatch last week when a supposed image of the device leaked to the web. While the software pictured is fake, the hardware is supposedly very real.

The first appearance of the device takes place about 35 seconds into the video, sitting on a designer’s desk. The only difference between this image and the leaked image from last week is that the leaked image is lacking a physical button, something that is somewhat visible in the video.
In addition, the device appears to make a second appearance in the same video, this time about 42 seconds into the clip. In this glimpse, we see what looks like a smartwatch chassis being worked on by a designer on his computer.
Despite what leaked images tell us, we can expect this device to be sporting Android Wear like its competitors. While we don’t know if this is an accidental leak or not, we wouldn’t be surprised if HTC threw it in on purpose to get people talking. Chances are, this video was completely staged, so there is little probability that something as huge as a future Android Wear device could accidentally slip in twice.
