While some Google update Wednesdays are more eventful than others, nearly every week Google updates something. This week that means a new minor update for Google Hangouts and a slightly more significant Google Drive update.
The former of these appears to have nothing new other than minor bug fixes and other improvements. As for Drive? There’s not a whole lot here either but there is a new refresh animation, and a few other small changes such as doc creation shortcuts in the floating bar at the bottom of the screen. The multi-user switcher also no longer opens a drop down and instead expands in-line.
There may be a few other small changes for Drive (and Hangouts) but those appear to be the big hitters. As always, the update will be rolled out in stages, so don’t be surprised if you can’t find either update through Google Play.
The good news is that we have the latest updated APKs already, thanks to Gapps Early. You’ll find the Hangouts update by clicking here, and Drive from here. For those that have already updated, notice any other big differences? If so, let us know in the comments!
