It looks like the folks at T-Mobile have let the price of the Samsung Galaxy S6 in the United States slip out in a contest on their website. It is normal for a company to list the approximate value for the items that they list in a contest. According to the contest rules, the Samsung Galaxy S6 has an average retail value of $699.00. That price puts the Samsung Galaxy S6 in the range we were expecting and in line with other higher end flagship devices such as the HTC One M9. According to HTC’s own contest giveaway rules show a retail price of $599.00. The rules do not state the amount of storage the phone will have though one would assume that it would be the base 32GB model. It should also be pointed out that this is for the standard Samsung Galaxy S6 and not the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge variant.
The contest offers a pretty sweet grand prize worth $3,597.88. Included in the grand prize package is the Samsung Galaxy S6, a Samsung Gear S, the Samsung Galaxy Gear Circle, The Galaxy Tab S and the very cool Samsung Level Box Wireless speaker. They will also give away four additional Galaxy S6 devices as a first prize. For second prize, one lucky person will win one Samsung Gear S, Third prize receives a Galaxy Gear Circle, while fourth prize will get you a Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Finally the fifth place winner will receive a Samsung Level Box.
This contest is open to persons in the United States, all fifty of them along with Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. If you or an immediate relative works for Samsung, T-Mobile, or affiliate companies you may not be eligible. The contest began on March 1, 2015 and will end March 26, 2015 at 2359 (11:59) ET.
