Oppo R7f Listing Pops Up In Indonesia Confirming The Device Is On The Way

AH Oppo R5-2

Oppo R5 launched at the end of last year, and at the time, it was the thinnest smartphone in the world. This handset launched alongside Oppo’s flagship, N3 handset. We’ve heard some rumors recently that Oppo is working on an Oppo R7 handset, which was also referred to as the Oppo ‘R7f’ device. Some initial rumors stated that this is one of the handsets that will be powered by MediaTek’s new MT6795 SoC, and this new report confirms that the device is real and that it’s coming soon. Anyhow, let’s see what’s what.

If you take a look at the image down below, you’ll notice that the Oppo R7f handset got certified. This isn’t the official confirmation or anything of the sort, but a leaked certification document it seems, so keep that in mind. It seems like this device will launch soon, at least if this info is accurate. The MediaTek MT6795 SoC is a 64-bit octa-core chip which did great in benchmarks, and it seems like MediaTek hopes this SoC will compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core chip out in the market. This SoC will quite probably also power on the HTC’s upcoming E9 handset, at least according to the latest information we’ve received.

We don’t have much information about the Oppo R7(f) handset at this point, unfortunately. It seems like this will be a rather powerful device though, perhaps an upper mid-range (perhaps even high-end) handset. The Oppo R7(f) will certainly be a thin device, considering it is a part of Oppo’s R line. We can also expect a premium built smartphone, with at least 2GB of RAM and a 1080p (1920 x 1080) display. This handset will also offer 4G LTE connectivity. It is still unknown when will this thing launch though, but you can expect it to be released in the next couple of months, we’re only guessing at this point though.

There you have it folks. Let us know what you think of Oppo’s smartphones, have you had the chance to use one? Would you be interested in purchasing this device if Oppo manages to get the price right?
