MWC 2015: Hands On With Lenovo’s 10″ MediaTek-Powered Tab 2 A10-70 Tablet

Lenovo has announced two tablets at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona yesterday. We’ve already covered the announcement of those two devices, and are here to show you the 10-inch variant in flesh, the Tab 2 A10-70. We managed to get some hands-on time with this device at MWC, and take a couple of images as well. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll find a bunch of Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 images. We managed to get our hands on the Midnight Blue version of the tablet, which is actually blue and black combination. Anyhow, let’s check out this thing’s specs.

The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 features a 10.1-inch fullHD 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, it’s 8.9mm thin and it weighs in at 509 grams. This tablet comes in Wi-Fi and 4G LTE versions, the Wi-Fi version is powered by MediaTek’s MT8165 chip, while the 4G LTE model will ship with MT8732 on the inside. Both of these chips are 64-bit quad-core offerings by MediaTek. This thing will ship with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 32GB). 8-megapixel camera is located on the back here, and a 5-megapixel snapper is available up front for selfies, video calls, and what not. Dolby Atmos stereo speakers are also a part of the package here, which will certainly come in handy while listening to music or watching a movie on the tablet. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this tablet and Lenovo’s custom UI is installed on top of Google’s operating system, as expected.

The device will be available in Pearl White and Midnight Blue color options, and will be available in April. The basic Wi-Fi model will cost $199, while the 4G LTE model will set you back $279 should you choose to purchase it. This tablet will be available worldwide as well, in case you were wondering.
