MWC 2015: Hands On With Lenovo A7000, Company’s New Android Lollipop-Powered Smartphone

Lenovo had all sorts of devices to show us at this year’s MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona. The company has announced a couple of tablets and smartphones, along with a pocket projector. We’ve already covered the announcements of all this devices separately, and are here to take a better look at the Lenovo A7000 smartphone that was announced yesterday by this China-based company. We managed to get some hands-on time with the device and take a couple of shots while checking out the device. Take a look at the gallery down below and you’ll be able to get a better grasp of how this device looks on the outside. We managed to get our hands-on both color version of the device, as you can see in the gallery down below.

This handset features a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display along with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card). This thing is powered by MediaTek’s MT6752M octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a 16-core Mali-T760 GPU for graphics. 8-megapixel camera is located on the back of this device and flanked by an LED flash, while you’ll find a 5-megapixel snapper up front. 2,900mAh battery will ship with this device along with Android 5.0 Lollipop with Lenovo’s skin on top of Google’s OS. Dolby Atmos stereo audio is also a part of this package, and the device offers 4G LTE connectivity option. Lenovo A7000 measures 152.6x 76.2 x 7.9mm and weighs 140 grams. This is also a dual SIM device (two micro SIM cards).

The device comes in Pearl White and Onyx Black color options, and is priced at $169. The device will be available sometime this month. It is also worth mentioning that this smartphone is made out of polycarbonate.
