Lenovo has announced a number of devices during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona earlier this month. This China-based smartphone manufacturer has announced a couple of mid-range smartphones, tablets, a pocket projector and the premium Vibe Shot smartphone. We’ve covered each of these devices at length, and are not here to talk about them, but something else completely. This Chinese smartphone manufacturer has released an interesting teaser image on their official Weibo (Chinese social network) account, let’s see what’s it all about.
As you can see in the image provided above, the company is obviously teasing an Android Lollipop-related announcement. The company has already released one teaser image earlier this month, which revealed that the company will hold an event on March 23rd. As you can see, there’s a number 6 on the image above this article, what does this mean? Well, that image was released two days ago, March 17th, and it represents how many days are left until Lenovo’s announcement. This image isn’t all that revealing on its own, but the company will quite probably unveil the Vibe Z3 Pro handset that was rumored for quite some time now along with the new version of their Vibe UI Android skin. This device will be powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is quite obvious at this point. If launched, this handset will succeed the Vibe Z2 Pro which launched back in August 2014.
According to rumors, the Vibe Z3 Pro will sport a 5.5-inch display (probably a QuadHD panel), 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor will quite probably power on this handset and a 16-megapixel OIS camera will be located on the back of this handset. A 3,400mAh removable battery will reportedly ship with the Vibe Z3 Pro, and you can also expect this handset to sport premium build. Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed with the new version of company’s Android skin, Vibe UI 2.5 quite probably. That’s more or less it, the event is only 4 days away at this point. Keep in mind that Lenovo did not confirm they’ll announce the Vibe Z3 Pro, but it seems kind of likely at this point. Either way, the new version of Lenovo’s Android skin is definitely on the way.
