ZTE Q7-C

Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona kicks off next week, and some manufacturers have decided to release some of their smartphone offerings before the Congress in Spain. ZTE is one of them, the company has released a new mid-range handset in China, the ZTE Q7-C. This device currently supports only Chinese bands, though it’s possible that the company will offer it in markets outside of China in the future.

Anyhow, this handset sports a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) LCD display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card). Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 SoC, a 64-bit octa-core processor is powering on this handset along with an Adreno 405 GPU for graphics processing. If you take a look at the back of this handset, you’ll notice the 13-megapixel CMOS sensor flanked by an LED flash, and a 5-megapixel CMOS camera is available up front. This device ships with a 3,000mAh battery, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed here with ZTE’s skin on top of it. This is a dual-SIM (micro SIM) device and it offers 4G LTE connectivity (150Mbps download / 50Mbps upload). The handset supports GSM, CDMA2000, TD-LTE and FDD-LTE networks.

The device is available in white-silver color only, and it is at the moment exclusive to China Telecom, but the handset might be offered by other Chinese carriers, as well as outside of this Asian country. ZTE wasn’t particularly active when it comes to releasing smartphones lately, but the company did release the Blade S6 handset recently, and made it available internationally. If you’re interested in checking out that, rather solid, mid-range device, visit this article. We’re expecting ZTE to launch at least one Nubia-branded device at MWC next month, Nubia Z9 (rumored bezel-less smartphone) probably won’t launch for another couple of months, but ZTE surely has something to show us at the upcoming MWC in Barcelona. That being said, what do you expect ZTE to launch at MWC? Do you think they’ll showcase several gadgets, or will they stick to one smartphone or something like that? Let us know what you think in the comments, we’d love to hear from you.
