Carphone Warehouse in the UK has just announced that pre-orders for the black LG G Flex 2 are now available. Originally, they were supposed to start on February 28th, but I guess Carphone Warehouse decided to pull the trigger a bit early. For those in the UK, the LG G Flex 2 can be yours with plans starting as low as £24/month. Carphone Warehouse is also giving out a free QuickCircle Case with pre-orders and a Bluetooth Speaker. Carphone Warehouse isn’t stating what Bluetooth Speaker it is, but since this is an LG device, I’d expect something from LG. But either way, it’s a free Bluetooth Speaker with your purchase, so if you were looking to pick up the LG G Flex 2 anyways, this is a good reason to look at Carphone Warehouse to grab yours.
The LG G Flex 2 should be launching everywhere in March, including the US. We were able to go hands on with the LG G Flex 2 back at CES 2015 last month in Las Vegas and were quite impressed with the device. It has the self-healing back that the original LG G Flex sported, and it also shrunk a bit. So it’s now a 5.5-inch 1080p Plastic OLED display. Along with a Snapdragon 810 processor inside, which early reviews are saying that it’s throttled due to the overheating issues, but LG has said they are pushing out an update to fix that, so we’ll see soon enough.
For those of you in the UK, it appears that Carphone Warehouse is the only one doing pre-orders so far. So if you’re looking to pick up the LG G Flex 2, this seems to be your only choice right now.
