A set of benchmark results emerged online eleven days ago disclosing that Samsung is in the process of developing a brand new version of the Galaxy Tab 4 sporting a 64-bit processor.

The details were a little thin, but, according a new report, the device is set to be a more affordable 7-inch, 4G-enabled variant of the Galaxy Tab 4, dubbed the “Galaxy Tab 4 Lite 7.0 LTE”.

The slate is expected to pack a 7-inch TFT capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 800 x 1290 pixels, a Marvell Armada Mobile PXA1908 chipset powered by a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 3.15-megapixel rear-facing camera.

Recent import documents show that the unit supports both TD-LTE and FDD-LTE, along with 3G, TD-SCDMA and GSM, therefore, providing compatibility for a whole host of Chinese carriers.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any information with regards to a specific launch date, but it shouldn’t be too much longer now seeing as the tablet has just entered its final testing phase.
