Meizu M1 Will Ship With A 2,500mAh Battery Included, Not The 2,610mAh Unit

Meizu M1_19

A couple of days ago, Meizu has announced a new device which has been leaking all over the place for a long time now, the Meizu M1. This handset was originally said to sport a 2,610mAh battery, but it seems like that won’t be the case. Meizu was forced to change the battery supplier recently, due to quality control measures, and despite the fact they were planning to include the 2,610mAh unit in the Meizu M1, it seems like a 2,500mAh battery will ship with that handset. Meizu even updated this on their official website, the Meizu M1 specs now list the 2,500mAh unit, which is basically a confirmation by the company as well. I don’t think this is a big deal in no way, but just thought you should be in the loop. The 2,500mAh unit should still be more than enough to make sure the device stays on until you go to bed and plug it in for a charge.

Anyhow, the Meizu M1 sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 128GB). This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6732 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and, as already mentioned, it will ship with a 2,500mAh battery, after all. 13-megapixel camera (+LED flash) will be located on the back of this device, and a 5-megapixel snapper will be available up front. 4G LTE connectivity is also available on this device and we’re talking about a dual-SIM handset here. The usual array of sensors are available here as well, same goes for Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and of course Wi-Fi.

The Meizu M1 costs 699 Yuan ($110) in China and will go on sale soon. The handset will be available in Blue, Green, White, Pink and Yellow color options, just like the Meizu M1 Note. Speaking of the M1 Note, these two handsets are basically identical as far as the design goes, though they’re different in size, the M1 Note sports a bigger 5.5-inch display and a more powerful specs on the inside. There you have it folks, make sure to let us know what you think of the Meizu M1 and if you’re bothered with this reduction in battery size.
