Motorola Has Just Unveiled The 2nd-Gen Moto G And Moto X Handsets In China, Along With The Moto X Pro Phablet

AH Moto G, Moto X And Moto X Pro

After a long absence, Motorola has found their way back into China. Ever since Lenovo purchased Motorola Mobility from Google, everyone knew this was going to happen. Motorola has just announced a bunch of “new” devices in China at their press event, as we expected, the company has announced the 2nd-gen Moto G and Moto X, along with the Moto X Pro. The Moto G and Moto X are quite probably very familiar to all of you, these handsets have been mentioned numerous times before and have launched in various markets all over the world, and now China as well. The Moto X Pro, on the other hand, is a new naming by Motorola, but we’re talking about a Nexus 6 phablet here essentially. Anyhow, let’s see what these handsets have to offer.

The Motorola Moto G features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of RAM (expandable via microSD card up to 32GB). This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz which ships with and Adreno 305 GPU for graphics. 8 and 2-megapixel cameras are also available here, on the back and front of this handset, respectively. LED flash is also available on the back of this handset next to that 8-megapixel sensor. 2,070mAh non-removable battery is also a part of the package here. This handset regarded as the best mid-range handset by a lot of people, though that’s arguable, of course.

Motorola’s Moto X handset, on the other hand, belongs to a high-end category of handsets, and in accordance to that, has more to offer. This thing features a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of non-removable in-built storage. Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 quad-core SoC is powering on this thing along with an Adreno 330 GPU for graphics rendering. 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of this handset along with dual-LED flash, while there’s a 2-megapixel camera is available on the front of this device. This handset features a 2,300mAh non-removable battery on the inside, and has a bunch of software features up its sleeve. We’ve already covered all this at length during the official announcement, and if you’re interested, visit our Moto X (2014) page. Motorola will also introduce the Moto Maker customization tool in China as well, it will become available in the next couple of months according to Motorola.

And finally, the Moto X Pro. This handset sports the same specs as the Nexus 6, the handset features a 6-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage. Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core CPU clocked at 2.7GHz is powering on this handset along with an Adreno 420 GPU for graphics. 13-megapixel OIS camera is located on the back of this handset along with a dual-LED flash, while there’s a 2-megapixel snapper available up front. 3,220mAh battery is built into this device and you also get a set of front-facing stereo speakers with this device.

All of these devices feature 4G LTE connectivity and will be available for purchase after the Spring Festival (after February 19th) in China, while the Moto Maker will become available in the next couple of months, as I already mentioned.
