Motorola has announced three news handset for the Chinese market at their press event in Beijing quite recently, we’ve already covered that announcement and if you can even watch the event itself if you’d like. The company has announced the Moto G (2014), Moto X (2014) and the Moto X Pro handsets at the event. All of these handsets were announced last year and have been available for sale outside of China, Moto G is company’s mid-range budget handset, Moto X is high-end device which offers some really neat software features and the Moto X Pro is the Nexus 6 handset basically, but it’s called differently in China, as you can see.
Anyhow, we’ve covered the announcement of these handsets, but didn’t have any availability / pricing information at the time, well, now we do. Let’s start with the Moto X handset, this thing is already available for pre-order online at Motorola.com.cn, JD.com, T-Mall, Gome, Suning and DXT in 16Gb model for 3,299 Yuan ($528). Motorola is offering this handset in six colors, users themselves chose these colors via the voting system in China. The most voted-for color was turquoise, and the Moto X in that color will be available at launch at a special price of 2,999 Yuan ($480). The 32GB model of the Moto X is also already available for pre-order, only via Motorola.com.cn and JD.com though, and should you choose to purchase it, you’ll have to splash out 3,699 Yuan ($592). Keep in mind that this version of the handset is available in Natural Leather, Bamboo and Wood models. As a side note, Moto Maker will also be available in China soon.
The Moto G handset will be available for pre-order in China starting on February 10th according to Motorola. This handset will be available in both 8 and 16GB variants, the former will cost you 1,299 Yuan ($208) and the latter 1,499 Yuan ($240), should you choose to purchase either one of them. Both of these variants will be available exclusively at Motorola.com.cn and JD.com, at least initially. Last, but not least, the Moto X Pro. This phablet will be available over in China starting in March, though the company didn’t share the exact date when the device will go on sale, or perhaps be available for pre-order.
Motorola has also mentioned the Moto Hint bluetooth earphone, they only said that it will be available in China soon, without a specific date or anything of the sort. If you’d like to find out more information about either of these handsets, visit Motorola’s official Chinese website.
