YotaPhone Gets Dismantled, Let’s Take A Look Inside

YotaPhone teardown_1

I’m used to seeing a ton of weird devices and interesting concepts considering the line of work I’m in, YotaPhone was definitely such a devices back when it launched. The main thing that differentiates this handset from the rest is the two display arrangement it sports. This handset has a 4.3-inch 720p (1280 x 720) LCD display on the front and a 4.3-inch 640 x 640 E-Ink display on the back of the handset. This might sound and look odd, but it can be extremely useful considering the E-Ink display and the way it operates. The main idea is for you to use the E-Ink display to glance at stuff, read and so on in order to save battery and you’re able to save tons of juice by doing so. YotaPhone also packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage while it is powered by a dual-core processor from Qualcomm which is clocked at 1.7GHz. 13-megapixel camera can be found at the back of this handset while there’s a 1-megapixel camera available on the front side of this handset. This thing packs a 1800mAh non-removable battery and 4G LTE connectivity.

YotaPhone doesn’t look all that great either, but its successor might change that. According to the latest reports, a new generation YotaPhone device might launch soon and sport a more appealing design overall, if you’d like to find out more, visit this link. Anyhow, we were able to get our hands on the dismantling of the YotaPhone (not the unreleased one, of course, but the one available at the moment). If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice a ton of images, courtesy of eWiseTech, who actually dismantled this thing. There were no surprises on the inside, this is a Russian phone made in China, and the teardown actually confirmed that fact. eWiseTech portal also said that the device was relatively simple to tear apart and thus should be fairly simple to repair on the inside. If you’re interested to see what exactly is on the inside of this beast, take a look at the image in a gallery down below, there are a bunch of them. Do you think the YotaPhone could end up being a successful product?
