The DROID Turbo has been on the market for just over one month, but Verizon is not allowing Motorola to slow down production. Sometime next year, likely around the summer, Motorola will release a DROID device that matches and surpasses the Nexus 6 and its specifications. There is a chance, though, that the device ditches DROID branding and joins the Moto line.
Like the Nexus 6, this unnamed DROID device will have a 5.9-inch display with 2560×1440 (QHD) resolution. Looking further into the device, it will have the Snapdragon 810 processor from Qualcomm paired with 4GB of RAM. We are looking at no slouch according to the information provided to DroidForums. The Snapdragon 810 is a 64-bit and will likely be the flagship processor of 2015. And to keep things going throughout the day (and night), Motorola is inserting a 4000mAh battery.
The DROID Turbo improved upon the Moto X, so here we have something that can improve upon the Nexus 6.
