Chinese manufacturer Meizu has just unveiled the new Blue Charm Note smartphone sporting a budget price tag and an enviable hardware specs sheet. The smartphone is currently limited to the Chinese market, but it’s too early to rule out a global launch.
On the specs front, the Blue Charm Note comes with a 5.5 inch 1080p display, a MediaTek MT6752 octa core chipset with a clock speed of 1.7 GHz, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, a 5-megapixel portrait camera, Android 4.4 KitKat with the proprietary Flyme UI and a 3,140 mAh battery.
This is a dual SIM device and supports 4G LTE by default, which is commendable for a budget handset. The smartphone will be available in blue, white, green, pink and yellow colors with a design quite similar to Apple’s not so successful iPhone 5c.
The 16GB version of the smartphone has been priced at 999 CNY or $160 while the 32GB model will set you back by 1199 CNY or $192 . It’s quite a catch for the price tag considering the hardware on offer.
