After AT&T announced pricing just a little while ago, Sprint has also announced the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. We’re looking at about $840 off contract. Which is a little over $100 cheaper than AT&T’s off-contract price of $945.99. If you don’t want to buy it off contract, or at full retail, Sprint is also offering it for $0 down and $35 per month for 24 months which comes out to $840. So there’s no interest involved there.
As far as specs go, the Galaxy Note Edge has a 5.6-inch Quad HD display (that’s 2560×1600 resolution) which wraps around the edge giving it it’s name. It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor which is clocked at 2.7GHz. There’s also 3GB of RAM inside with 32GB of storage and a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB of storage. On the camera side, we’ve got a 16MP OIS sensor on the back, with a 3.7MP front-facing shooter. There’s a 3000mAh battery inside as well which should keep you going through out the day. The dimensions are 151.3 x 82.4 x 8.3mm and weighs about 174 grams. It’s running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box, and is also running on the latest version of Touchwiz.
There’s not a whole lot here that differentiates the Galaxy Note Edge from the Galaxy Note 4, unless you look at that wrap around display. The display that wraps around the edge is pretty interesting and will probably see a lot of developer action. It’ll be really interesting to see what developers are able to cook up for the Galaxy Note Edge. It is something different from Samsung, and we applaud that, but we were hoping for a bit more. Nonetheless we will be doing a full review on the Galaxy Note Edge as soon as we can get our hands on one. How many of you are planning on picking one up from Sprint or AT&T?
