Besides the new Nexus 9 and some of the older Nexus tablets, did you know that NVIDIA has already released the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop for its SHIELD tablet? If not, you may want to reconsider NVIDIA’s tablet offering and if you are a gamer, you may want to check out the company’s SHIELD portable gaming device. To help entice you to do so, NVIDIA will be offering some special deals on Black Friday for both devices.
Two special bundles will be available on Friday. The first one includes the 32GB LTE SHIELD tablet along with a SHIELD controller; a Green Box bundle that includes Half-Life 2 Episode 1, Half-Life 2, and Portal; and access to NVIDIA’s GRID game streaming service. All of this will go for $399 which is the normal price for just the tablet.
The second bundle includes a SHIELD Portable controller, a free case, glossy black armor, and access to the GRID service. This bundle will sell for $199 which is the normal price for just the Portable controller.
