Huawei Honor 4X Pays A Visit To TENAA, 64-Bit SoC And 2GB Of RAM In Tow

Huawei Honor 4X TENAA_1

China is the largest market in the world, the competition is truly fierce over there when smartphone sales are concerned. China is home to many smartphone manufacturers, the likes of Huawei, Lenovo, Meizu, Elephone, Xiaomi… all compete for market share over there, along with manufacturers which are not based in China of course. Xiaomi has significantly stepped up their game and many smaller manufacturers are trying to leave their market as far as smartphone sales go. Huawei is well-known brand which is trying to do the same because the likes of Xiaomi, Meizu and other similar brands are seriously threatening Huawei as far as Chinese market is concerned, especially Xiaomi which is the number 1 manufacturer in China at the moment.

Huawei has recently re-introduced company’s Honor Glory Play 4 mid-range smartphone offering. I say re-introduced because it was introduced a last month and launched in China about a week ago. It seems like Huawei wants to saturate the market with its mid-range offerings because yet another one was spotted at TENAA (China’s equivalent to FCC), codenamed Che-1-CL20. This device is expected to be called Huawei Honor 4X once it’s released. As far as specifications go, this device sports a 5.5-inch 720p screen, compared to Glory Play 4’s 5-inch 720p panel. 2GB of RAM is also a part of the package (unlike Play 4’s 1GB) as is 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The listing doesn’t mention the exact model of the processor, but it does mention it’s 64-bit chip by Qualcomm we’re talking about here, which leads me to believe this device will sport the same chip Glory Play 4 features, Snapdragon 410. 8-megapixel camera is located at the back of this device and you can find a 5-megapixel shooter at the front of it. Android 4.4.3 KitKat will come pre-installed with Huawei’s own OS on top of it. The device will come with LTE support for FDD and TD networks, it will of course cover TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, CDMA and GSM networks as well, in case 4G is not available to you.

As you can see this is a more powerful version of Honor Glory Play 4 smartphone as it offers 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera, compared to Play 4’s 1GB of RAM and 8-megapixel shooter. This device will also be bigger considering the screen size. We still don’t have any information when it comes to its price, but I believe Huawei will introduce it soon.
