The Moto Maker Website Is Now Live, Build Your Custom Moto X

Moto Maker

The Moto maker site for the new Moto X is now live for anyone that was looking to grab up one of these devices. The second generation Moto X is filled with all kinds of goodies, including all kinds of new customizations and options, and while the only available carrier option at this point is AT&T, you can still opt to go for the unlocked GSM Pure Edition of the device and it’ll work on any GSM network. Both 16GB and 32GB options can be purchased, and the unlocked 16GB model will end up costing users a starting price of $499. If you want the extra 16GB of storage and will be upping to the 32GB model, be prepared to drop another $50 for a total starting cost of $549.

Other options like the Leather or Wood backs will set you up for another $25 extra, but it seems worth it if you want that more natural feel to the phone. You can choose from black, natural, navy blue, or cognac leather color options, and for wood you have the familiar teak, ebony, walnut and bamboo style options at your disposal. If you want a little more color choice, you have plenty to choose from in cool, warm, or neutral color schemes. You also have black and white color options for the front face, as well as a decent selection of color options for the trim.

As with the previous version of the Moto Maker site, you can also customize your Moto X with a welcome message or greeting when you power on the device, and if you really want to take things a step further in the customization department you can have a name or short message engraved on the back. For anyone that is interested in knowing, the short message is limited to 18 characters, so it can’t be too long. You’ve also got a few more options with the wallpaper, an optional case and charger and any other accessories that you want to add to the order. If you chose just the phone with no extra accessories, the 32GB model with a leather or wood back should cost you $574.99. Once everything is all said and done and you place your order, it will take about 10 days to ship according to Motorola. The website is experiencing some heavy traffic so page loads may take a bit. Are you grabbing a new Moto X?
