What is Music Tagger?
Music Tagger is a music optimization service that allows you to edit the ID3 tags of your music files. For those who don’t know, ID3 tags are bits of information that music players use to identify what the file is, who made it, and all of that. Proper ID3 tagging is essential for those who want their music to display correctly in music players and doubly essential for those with larger music libraries.
Music Tagger comes with a number of features but there are a few big ones that matter. The first is the ability to manually edit an ID3 tag. This is helpful if you only have a few songs that need fixed up a bit and you don’t want to mess with anything else. There is also an auto-tagger feature where you give the app control and it finds the meta data for each music file along with the cover art. The last really big feature is the ability to sort your music into folders. This is great for those who just dumped their entire library into a single folder and need more organization. It is compatible with ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags.
That’s really it. There is an easy-to-use interface with large icons and text to make things easier for everyone. The auto-tagger seems to work most of the time and it is important to note that this app is still in beta. That means there will be bugs and issues. If you’re not a fan of beta testing then you should absolutely steer clear of this.

ID3 tags aren’t really something people think about when curating their music collection and it’s frustrating to open a music player and see a bunch of errors in your music list. An app like this can fix it. It’s free to use but do keep in mind that it’s in beta so if it doesn’t work all that well, you know why.
