The SHIELD Tablet is a pretty good device as is. It has a well-sized display, front speakers, a stylus, and the power of an NVIDIA processor. The two things that the SHIELD Tablet has lacked — a 4G LTE connection and additional internal storage — is arriving soon. The SHIELD Tablet with 4G LTE and 32GB of storage is now up for pre-order. It costs an additional $100 over the standard 16GB model, priced at $399.
The SHIELD Tablet with 4G LTE and 32GB of storage is certified to work on AT&T’s network. For activating the SHIELD Tablet at AT&T, the carrier will credit $100 to a customer’s bill. So there is a bit of an incentive to use the tablet with AT&T. Of course, it will also work with T-Mobile’s network as well.
