T-Mobile is looking to offer a few customers the option to get some great upgrade pricing with their leaked Summer Savings Upgrade Offer starting tomorrow, August 6th. The promotion will allow customers that have been with T-Mobile for at least a year and don’t owe anything on a current device to pick up a new phone at a pretty heavily discounted rate, in some cases.
You would have to pick from T-Mobile’s selection for the offer, so it won’t work on a brand new LG G3 or HTC One, but there are some pretty decent options to pick from. On the low end, customers can grab a Samsung Galaxy Light or LG L90 for just $48, or $2 per month. In the middle tier you’ve got the Samsung Galaxy Avant for $120 or $5 a month, and on the high end you can snag a Galaxy S 2 for $288 ($12 per month) or a Galaxy S 4 for $300 ($12.50 per month). I don’t see many people turning down the GS4 for the quite old GS2 just to save 12 bucks, but you never know.
This promotion won’t be available for everyone, but starting tomorrow T-Mobile will be contacting customers via SMS to let them know if they’re eligible. If you’re on T-Mobile, keep an eye out for that text message.
