When a leaked Lenovo roadmap was discovered a little over a week ago, one of the devices listed was the Lenovo Vibe X2, a sequel to the Lenovo Vibe X. The roadmap document seemed to hint at the device being available in a wide variety of colors. Some newly discovered photos of the device add a little more information to what Lenovo is getting ready to bring to market. The images show what appears to be a metal chassis for the device. A view of the side also shows what appears to be layers of metal used for construction of the smartphone, though it is difficult to tell if that is just a faux look.
Sources expect Lenovo to pack the Vibe X2 with a MediaTek octa-core processor, though it is possible a variant running a dual-core Intel processor may also be produced. The screen should be a 5-inch display running at full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. The Vibe X2 is also expected to come with 16 GB of internal storage and will run Android 4.4.2.
Lenovo’s roadmap put the release of the Vibe X2 before October, so we may not have to wait long to get more details. Lenovo may even unveil it during IFA 2014 next week.
