Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G LTE Now Available At Fry’s Electronics

Huawei-Ascend-Mate-2-4G-Review-AH-20

Huawei has just sent along a note to let us know that the Ascend Mate2 4G LTE is now available at yet another retail store in the US. And that would be Fry’s. Which I didn’t even know that there were any Fry’s still around, but evidently there are about 34 locations across the US. So now you can walk into a Fry’s Electronics and pick up a Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G LTE for just $299. And that’s the full retail price, not on a contract. Remember that the Ascend Mate2 4G LTE is only compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile’s networks. As it is an unlocked GSM smartphone.

The Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G LTE features a 6.1-inch 720p IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP camera on the back and a 3900mAh battery inside. Yes it’s a 3,900mAh battery inside this bad boy, which explains why all the reviewers loved the battery life on the Huawei Ascend Mate2. We reviewed it earlier this summer and loved the device. Especially the battery life on the Ascend Mate2 4G LTE.

“Since its launch, the Ascend Mate2 has received critical acclaim for its powerful quad-core 1.6 GHz processor and a long-lasting 3900mAh lithium polymer battery that lets you enjoy a half-day of web surfing on a single charge. Featuring unique power-saving technology that improves performance by more than 30 percent versus other smartphones in its class, a single charge can let you: stream three movies in a row, surf the web for 12 hours, talk for 25 hours, or listen to 100 hours of music.”

So it looks like Huawei is really starting to make a splash here in the US, and getting into more stores, which is great. As they do make some really great devices, but for the most part they aren’t available here in the US. Which is unfortunate. But it looks like that’ll change soon!
