Huawei Ascend Mate 3 Specs Appear in AnTuTu Benchmark

Huawei-Ascend-Mate-2-4G-Review-AH-10

The Ascend Mate is a surprisingly popular phone from Huawei. The first one was announced at CES in 2013, and featured a 6.1-inch display with a huge battery. It lasted forever, literally, forever. This year, Huawei announced the Ascend Mate 2 at CES as well. Which had pretty much the same specs as last year’s model, but with a bit of a bigger battery. We’ve reviewed both models, and were actually fans of both. However, now it appears that we are getting ready to start hype beasting the Ascend Mate 3, as specs for that model have just hit AnTuTu benchmarking site.

According to AnTuTu, it looks like we’re going to get a bump in resolution on the Ascend Mate 3. As it’s said to be a 1920×1080 resolution 6.1-inch display. Along with a 5MP and 13MP camera for the front and back respectively. We also are going to have their own CPU inside the Ascend Mate 3. That’s the HiSilicon Kirin 920. This is gonna be clocked at 1.3GHz. So it won’t compare to the Snapdragon 801 or even the 805, but it’s not really meant too as the Ascend Mate 3 is going to be a mid-range device just like the past two generations. It also appears that we are going to have a 2GB and 3GB of RAM models. Which we’ve seen the likes of BLU and LG do this already this year.

There are also some rumors floating around about the build quality. Which I think is important, because the build of the Ascend Mate was pretty nice, but then for the Ascend Mate 2, they basically made it a bigger Galaxy Note 2. Rumors are point at it being made of metal this time around. Which is probably true, as many of their other phones are made of metal, like the Ascend P7. Are any of you interested in the Huawei Ascend Mate 3? I’m interested to see how battery life improves, because it already lasts for days on end.
