Next Friday, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S is going on sale in the US. After about a week or pre-orders, Samsung’s US blog site has posted that the Galaxy Tab S both 8.4 and 10.5 will be available for purchase on June 27th. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 will be going for about $399, and the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will be priced at $499. Which is actually pretty good prices for both of these tablets, to be honest. Since they do have AMOLED displays, and those are typically more expensive. Samsung is offering the Galaxy Tab S tablets in dazzling white and titanium bronze. Simply because they can’t use plain and simple color names. The Galaxy Tab S are available in Select Best Buy’s for you to take for a test drive, similar to the Galaxy S5 and the Gear 2. So if you are unsure whether you want the Galaxy Tab S, just head to your local Best Buy and check them out.
They both feature 2560×1600 resolution AMOLED Displays, Exynos 5420 octa-core processors in the WiFi model and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processors in the LTE model. They both also have 3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of storage with a microSD card slot, 8MP camera on the back, 2.1MP front-facing shooter, Android 4.4.2, and a new version of Touchwiz, which includes a ton of features that are exclusive to the Galaxy Tab S line of tablets. Those include PaperGarden, which is basically their own magazine type app. Think My Magazines in the Play Store before Newsstand took over. It’s a pretty great set of features Samsung has here on the Galaxy Tab S. And we can’t wait to get our hands on to review in the coming weeks.
