T-Mobile CEO John Legere is not one to shy away from telling it like it is. He is revolutionizing the US mobile market with some of the boldest moves we have ever seen in the industry. As if that wasn’t shaking things up enough, John does have quite a mouth on him. He will swear, and he won’t regret it… except for this time.
Magenta dropped jaws last night, during the Uncarrier 5 (and Uncarrier 6) event. The “Uncarrier” is giving free test drives (“7-night stand”) to all users for free and without compromise. Music streaming is also free now, with no music streaming data counting against your data pool.
Also surprising was the amount of f-bombs and attacks he threw at the other carriers, though. It’s usual to see him talking the bad guys down, but things got a little touchy once he started getting into it.
The conversation turned more interesting once he started saying Verizon and AT&T are “raping you for every penny you have” and they are “greedy bastards”. He went on to say “the fuckers hate you”! And those were only the most shocking comments, there were many more. In fact, the guys at the Verge have put together a fun video with last night’s highlights.
Some people (carriers) may have not taken this lightly. In an interesting turn of events, John Legere has decided to apologize for his harsh words last night. The “Batman of mobile” took it to twitter to grant the friendly gesture.
I know I have an Rated R vocabulary, but even I can go too far. Sincere apologies to anyone offended last night

This is business, and it’s hard to imagine carriers really getting offended over John Legere’s words and actions. I happen to be a fan of John Legere and am not easily shocked. He can go a bit overboard at times, but that is part of the fun! Wouldn’t you agree?
