The LG G Flex 2 International Model Gets Tested For Flexibility, Scratches, And Benchmark Performance

AH LG G Flex 2-8

The LG G Flex 2 is LG’s improved successor to the original, with newer specs and some of the latest hardware accompanied by the familiar curve and self healing back that some have come to know from the first G Flex device. While we are still waiting on a U.S. launch on this phone from LG, some YouTube users have taken it upon themselves to test out the device in a few different areas after having imported the South Korean model of the LG G Flex 2 so we can have a glimpse at how this device performs. They don’t go too in depth about every single little detail, but they do focus on a couple of key components that many consumers who might be interested in the LG G Flex 2 could be interested in, with a scratch and bend test to check out the actual flexibility of the device, and a benchmark test to see how the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU performs.

They start things off by doing a video of the scratch test and bend test, so we can see how well the self healing back actually heals itself, and how much the device flexes to give an idea of how well the phone will hold up to a little bit of force. If you remember, the original LG G Flex was well known for how much pressure could be applied to it without cracking or breaking, which ended up well past the limits that LG themselves tested for the device before it hit store shelves. Does the LG G Flex 2 live up those standards? It’ll be hard to say as this YouTube users doesn’t test the device flexibility for extreme pressure levels, but give the video a watch and you’ll see that it does seem to hold up ok under normal, every day conditions. Like say, if it were in your back pocket.

Next, a different user than the one we saw doing the scratch and bend test goes over the benchmarks, using three different tests to get a feel of the power of the processor in three different areas. In the video you’ll see the the LG G Flex 2 is tested using Geekbench 3, AnTuTu, and 3D Mark which will be used for testing how the LG G Flex 2 handles graphics performance. The device actually seems to fare pretty well in the tests, but we won’t spoil it for you and let you watch the video for yourselves.
