Samsung Galaxy S6 rumors and leaks keep on coming as the release date for the highly-anticipated flagship comes closer. We’ve already seen tons of content regarding Samsung’s upcoming smartphone, from cases, screen protectors to leaked renders, images, benchmarks and specifications. We’re approximately only two weeks away from the launch of this handset and the rumors won’t stop now, that’s for sure. Along with that, we have the newest one to share with you, coming straight from Korea.
According to this rumors, Samsung’s newest flagship will sport a 2,600mAh battery, which sounds odd and well, wrong. But considering this device will be powered by Samsung’s newest Exynos 7420 SoC, which is built on a 14nm process (which allegedly makes it 30-35% more power efficient), this might actually be accurate. This would basically mean that you’d get roughly the same battery life as if Samsung placed a bigger unit in there, though it would perhaps make more sense to put a bigger battery in there and brag with a great battery life in the end. As you all know, many rumors and reports have been saying that this device (and the Galaxy S6 Edge) will be made out of metal, like the HTC One (M8) for example, which could mean we won’t be seeing a replaceable battery due to a unibody design of the device. These are all just rumors at this point though, we don’t know anything for sure, it seems kind of odd for Samsung to give up the replaceable battery scheme.
Considering how thin the device allegedly is, and taking into consideration the quite probably metal build, unibody design, and the Exynos 7420 processor, this rumors might not be so far-fetched after all. Everything will be revealed on March 1st during Samsung’s pre-MWC Unpacked event where the company will announce the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge handsets. We’ll be at the event which kicks-off at 6:30pm (local time, Barcelona) and will let keep you in the loop. In the meantime, let us know what you make of this latest rumor, do you think that the Galaxy S6 will feature a 2,600mAh unit?
