Cheetah Mobile And BenQ Set To Launch Three Devices At MWC Including Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Powered Flagship

The Mobile World Congress, or MWC, is only a couple of weeks away and many of the manufacturers are lining up devices to be announced at the show. In amongst the bigger names of Samsung and HTC, we also have a slew of manufacturers aiming to launch devices to take advantage of the significant media attendance at the event. Cheetah Mobile and BenQ are one such manufacturer, where we’ve seen a rumor and leaked render that they are to launch three new devices at the show taking place in early March.

These three models are the BenQ F52, B50 and B502. The source article covers the F52 as it’s the high end device with the B50 and B502 receiving a token mention. On to the F52, then; this is reckoned to be based around the current Qualcomm flagship processor, the Snapdragon 810. It’ll have a 1080p 5.2-inch screen, a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front facer for duck faced selfies. Unfortunately, we don’t have any additional information on the hardware: we don’t know the memory that the Snapdragon 810 will have access to, the amount of internal storage, if there’s a MicroSD card slot or the size of battery. Nor do we know what networks the F52 will support, but if it’s packing the eight core flagship Qualcomm processor, it’s a good bet that it’ll support 3G and 4G LTE radios from all over the world (because the Snapdragon 810 is one of the most worldly chipsets when it comes to network support).

It also looks like the devices will all be based on Android 5.0 Lollipop and BenQ are including a number of interesting third party applications into the software, including Clean Master, GP Security and GP Battery Doctor as part of the software. We’ve no word if the B50 and B502 will also be powered by Android Lollipop; actually we know very little about the other two models! As speculation, these might be middle range devices rather than the high end F52. Still, the MWC show kicks off in a small number of days time so we don’t have long to wait!
