I’ve been a big fan of Bose’ headphones for quite a while. Back in 2009, I bought a pair of their IE2 headphones and have been using them almost daily ever since and they still work perfectly. I can’t say the same about many of the other headphones I bought before that. So their quality is really great, and so is the sound that comes out of them. So I picked up a pair of their SoundTrue Around-Ear headphones. These headphones I bought, they were not given to us by Bose for review purposes, just in case you were wondering.
The SoundTrue headphones are some of their cheaper headphones, primarily because they don’t feature Bluetooth. Which is fine with me because I’d rather not use Bluetooth anyways. One of my complaints with a lot of other headphones I’ve tried and reviewed over the past few years have been how heavy and uncomforable they are. That’s why I stopped using the Supertooth Freedom headphones. However, the Bose SoundTrue headphones are very lightweight, and super comfortable. I wear them all day long and they are still very comfortable. They are also some of the lightest headphones I’ve ever worn, I think.
A lot of people think Bose headphones are crap. Well everyone has their own opinion. I think they are quite good actually. I love the sound that comes out of them, and pair them with a nice amp, and you’re in heaven. These SoundTrue headphones sound really great. They are especially good when watching movies with lots of explosions and such. Bose does give you a nice leather case with these headphones (actually you get one with every pair of headphones they sell), which is nice for traveling and such.
These headphones are on sale right now for $149, their regular price is $179. So it’s not a huge discount, but $30 is $30. So if you’re interested in some very comfortable headphones, these are ones that you’ve gotta try out.
