Waze has rolled out an update to their application adding some new features. Extending their user-submitted data model, Waze now lets users submit information on local places. Users can add or edit information related to businesses or residential locations. This could include information about parking options or whether a location has drive-thru services available. Users can also submit photos to help other Waze users recognize a location when they arrive.
Waze also added a new feature to help users find their vehicles after they are done at a location. If a user drives with Waze until they park, Waze will save the location to help you return to your parked vehicle. Waze also indicates this update adds information for users to help them assess how much time to allow for parking and then getting to their final destination.
Along with the new features, Waze is also making autocomplete available worldwide. Some bug fixes are also included in the update.
