Motorola is Officially Sold out of the Verizon Moto X (2014)

Moto XThe Verizon variant of the Moto X (2014) went on sale on Friday (Sept. 26th) and it appears that Motorola has already sold out of them. According to their website they are sold out but there are some at Verizon Wireless stores. Which means those aren’t customized through MotoMaker. They offer you the opportunity to go ahead and sign up for updates, but in all honesty, you’ll probably hear from us first before Motorola tells you they are back in stock. It’s both good news and bad news that Motorola has sold out. It’s good news because people are buying the product, but it’s bad news because Motorola will probably lose some sales to their competitors like the Galaxy Note 4 (which doesn’t hit til October 17th), or the LG G3.

The Motorola Moto X (2014) features a 5.2-inch 1080p AMOLED Display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of storage, 2300mAh battery inside, along with a 13MP camera on the back capable of 4K and a 2MP front-facing camera. It’s also running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and it’s pretty much stock Android.

Right now, the AT&T and Pure Edition models of the Moto X are still in stock on Motomaker, so if you are looking to grab an unlocked Moto X, you can still do so and get your leather or bamboo back or choose another from the many that Motorola has. And don’t forget, that if you are a student with an active .edu email address you can get a $50 discount off the price of a Moto X. But that only works on the full price, not the contract price. So it’d cost you $449, instead of $499. How many of you were able to pick up a Verizon Moto X before they sold out? Let us know in the comments down below.
