Back in April of this year Samsung launched a budget priced low-end device, the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style. The device was launched in Germany and was quickly followed by a wider worldwide release. This was a budget phone in all respects and aimed more towards the entry-level market. It now seems Samsung have released another version of the Ace Style, although the launch has been rather silent compared to the original Style device. The newer version is under the rather straight-forward Samsung Galaxy Ace Style LTE guise. Generally speaking, there is very little difference between the Style LTE and the original Style with the main exception being (as the name suggests) that the Style LTE offers LTE connectivity. Besides this, the only other notable difference is a slight increase in the phone’s screen size. The original Style came with a 4” LCD screen while the LTE version offers a 4.3″ Super AMOLED screen. In spite of the slight screen improvement, the resolution of the device remains unchanged at 800 x 480p. However, the pixel density has dropped down from 233 (for the original Style) to 217ppi (for the Style LTE). There is also one other difference which is aesthetical and (presumably) designed to visibly differentiate the Style LTE from the Style. This difference includes a shaded grey accent stripe which runs down the middle of the device (see the images below).
Other than these changes the majority of the other specs are the same and as this is a low-end device the specs are quite uninteresting including a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM. The cameras on offer include a 5MP rear camera while the front shooter is a 1.3MP camera. The device supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and NFC connectivity. The battery provided consists of a 1,900 mAh offering and the LTE coverage includes 2600/900/800/1800/2100MHz bands
Similar to the original Style, the LTE version has again been launched in Germany although in contrast to the original device there is currently no information on whether the device will be released in other regions. The current price for the LTE version is €199 which is roughly around $250. So there you go. If you are in the market for a low-end and budget priced device with LTC connectivity…and of course in Germany then it might be worth checking out the Style LTE. Anyone interested in this? Or in terms of Samsung is everyone only interested at the moment in their Note 4 pre-orders?
