RushWallet Is A Web-based Bitcoin Wallet That Works On Any Platform

guide-static

Bitcoin is pretty popular these days, but it’s still not something most people interact with on a daily basis. KryptoKit is one company that is trying to change that. They’ve already created a bitcoin wallet browser extension that puts your bitcoin at your fingertips when you’re shopping online. Now they are releasing a new service called RushWallet that works as a cross-platform bitcoin wallet. All you need is a web browser and your secret URL.

RushWallet is built in HTML5, so it works with any modern web browser on any platform or OS. You just head over to the main RushWallet page and move your mouse around on the screen to create an encrypted, unique URL. You also have the option of adding a password to login to your new bitcoin wallet site if you want an added layer of security. Then make sure to bookmark the URL, write it down, back it up in multiple note taking apps like Evernote or Google Keep. You have to have that URL to access your stored bitcoin. If you misplace the URL, your bitcoin is lost forever. Because it’s encrypted and kept secret, even KryptoKit can’t find it for you.

That’s all you need to do to get things set up. Now you can transfer bitcoin into your account, toggle bitcoin and USD values, and view your account balance and transaction history. You can send and receive bitcoin, and make purchases using just the bitcoin address of the store where you are making a purchase. The RushWallet system is set up to use the OneName bitcoin registration system, meaning you can simply type in someone’s OneName username to add their bitcoin address, too.

RushWallet is really easy to use. That’s the goal, and that’s what KryptoKit wants to offer with its bitcoin wallet services. It’s secure, too. RushWallet’s co-founder Anthony Di Iorio says that the company doesn’t save any of your info or bitcoins. The source code is publicly available so users can make sure everything is on the up and up. These types of services are what bitcoin needs to make the big leap into the mainstream.
