Featured Review: Sungale Stackable Power Disks

When Sungale emailed me about this new battery pack they were announcing a few months ago, I was pretty excited. Why? Well these aren’t just another battery pack. but they are battery packs that you can stack together for more juice. I have two of the round disks and two of the square ones here. Each of these are 3,000mAh in size. So stacking them together gives me 12,000mAh to keep me charged for a few days. Which I must say, it’s pretty damn cool. So how exactly does it work?

Well if you’ve seen the connectors on smartwatches like the Samsung Gear 2 Neo, these have those so they connect with each other. They also use pretty strong magnets to stay connected. So that you don’t lose your connection. Which is obviously important as well. On the side you have a micro USB and a regular USB port. Obviously the micro USB is for charging the battery pack and the regular USB is for charging your phone. There is also an indicator on the side to show you how much is left. So that you can press the little battery icon and see how much juice you have left. It’s pretty neat.

As far as charging up your phone or tablet, it acts as a battery it’s size should act. The two circular disks together is 6,000mAh in size and was able to charge my OnePlus One ( a 3,100mAh battery) about 1.5 times. Which is what I expected given it’s size. It was able to charge my LG G2 (a 3,000mAh battery) a little bit more. Obviously it’d be the same for the square disks. As far as input goes, they are DC 5V ~1000mA, and output is DC 5V ~ 1000mA. They are pretty light-weight as well, which makes it pretty cool to carry around in your purse, or backpack, or even your pocket, if you are one that wears cargo pants or shorts in the summertime. As far as the price goes, it’ll be around $70 for the two pack and each additional power disk is going to be priced at $39.99. Which you can pick those up at Newegg and Amazon.

What’s even cooler about these is the fact that you can stack as many as you want together. So you can add 6 together and have a 18,000mAh battery pack here. It’s pretty damn cool, if I say so myself.
