Now that the LG G3 is beginning to get release dates and pre-orders are getting underway in the US. We are beginning to see more cases available for the device. Our first case review for the LG G3 is the Flexishield for the LG G3. This is a case that we reviewed for the Nexus 7 2012 back in late 2012 (obviously). And now it’s available for the LG G3. It’s definitely a nice looking case. It is pretty shiny and made of plastic – which is very evident in the pictures in the gallery below. It’s also flexible as stated in the name. Which makes it easy to take on and off of the device, for those that like to use many different cases on their smartphones.
It is basically a TPU case, but it does have cut outs for the Volume Rocker, Camera, power button on the back, as well as the speaker at the bottom of the back panel. We also have cut outs for the microUSB port, 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone holes on top and bottom, as well as the IR blaster at the top of the device. This is the black model, but it’s also available in Blue, Frost White, Purple and Pink. So that if you don’t want a plain black one, there are others to choose from.
There’s not much more to really say about the Flexishield LG G3 case, it’s just a typical TPU case, nothing really special about it. But it will protect your LG G3 and not make it look super ugly, so there’s always that. It does feel pretty durable, but since the LG G3 we have here is a review unit and we need to return it, we didn’t a do a drop test with the case. The Flexishield LG G3 case is available from Mobile Fun in the UK for £5.99, and available on Amazon (pretty much everywhere) for about $6.59.
