Glass Appears on Google Play Support Page in the UK

AH Google Glass

There’s been plenty of rumors leading up to Google I/O that Glass would be made available elsewhere in the world, other than the US. Up until now, Glass has been only in the US and it cost $1500 to get your own Glass. We have heard rumors that Glass would be made available to everyone, worldwide at Google I/O, although no word on price just yet. But then again that is also just a rumor and nothing confirmed yet. With Google I/O being this week, we should find out in just a few days what Google does with Glass. Hopefully we do see it appear in the Play Store very soon. Now we can see Glass on the list of devices sold through the Play Store, however it says UK only right now. Which is strange, since most things are US only first. But I’m sure our friends across the pond won’t mind.

If you don’t see it at this link, then Google may have removed it. They like to do things like this and get the hype beast train going, especially for big events like Google I/O. We still aren’t sure if we will see Glass at I/O and see it release to everyone, but it’s about time, since this would be the third Google I/O with Glass. But then again, Google is known for keeping stuff in beta for a long time. Just look at how long Gmail was in beta back in the day. It’ll be interesting to see what Google has to say about Glass at Google I/O this year, maybe giving Glass to all attendees? Although I’d think most of them already have Glass. Since they are developers and members of the press. How many of you are excited to see Glass get a public release and be available outside of the US? Let us know in the comments below.
