If you have been tuning into the tech news at all today, then you will be well aware that two of the most anticipated Samsung devices ever, have now gone on general sale. Although, they will need little introduction, they are the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Since their unveiling at last month’s MWC event in Barcelona, the two devices have been greatly in demand. In fact, some would argue that they have reinvigorated the Samsung Galaxy brand after what was considered a disappointing evolution when the Samsung Galaxy S5. Not to mention, reports came in suggesting as many as twenty million pre-orders had been made prior to the official release.
The anticipation and excitement around the two devices is not that surprising though. As they both do come with some high-end specs. Not forgetting, their exteriors have been greatly redesigned offering far more premium looking smartphones. Well, Samsung are not one to miss a trick when it comes to capitalizing on anticipation and it is no secret that Samsung likes making videos. With these two points in mind, Samsung has today released a video promoting the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge and in particular, the excitement around the two devices.
In conjunction (and celebrating) the launch date for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the video plays on the anticipation which has been increasingly building since the devices launched. The video, entitled “Anticipation” shows a number of people engaging in a number of excitement building scenarios. To give you a few examples, a ballet dancer before hitting the stage, a rugby scrum before engaging and a group of friends moments before their fairground ride begins. The video then shows the Galaxy S6 Edge and this is quickly followed by all the events starting (the ballet curtains opening, fairground ride beginning, scrum engaging). The video also comes with the interesting YouTube statement “We are all united by the desire to find out what’s next. And we live for the moment when possibility becomes reality, when the future becomes real. Because that’s when we feel most alive. The Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are what’s next from Samsung.
