You’ve probably heard of Asus’ ZenFone 2 handsets by now. This Taiwan-based company has unveiled their new ZenFone 2 line of devices back at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in January. We did expect the company to unveil ZenFone 2 devices, but did not expect them to attach such price tags to them, they’re actually quite affordable. As part of the new ZenFone line, Asus has announced a couple of devices, and the most powerful one actually ships with 4GB of RAM on the inside.
Anyhow, the ZenFone 2 line has been available in Taiwan and China for quite some time now, and will be arriving in India later this month. Many people have been wondering when will North American consumers be available to get these devices. Well, if you’re amongst those consumers, we have some good news for you, the most powerful device from the ZenFone 2 line is now available on Amazon. The company has listed the device on Amazon for the price tag of $395, which is not bad at all considering what this device has to offers.
The Asus ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS display along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 64GB). This handset is powered by Intel’s Atom Z3580 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz which comes with a PowerVR G6430 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of this handset and is flanked by a dual-LED, dual tone flash. 5-megapixel snapper can be found on the front side of the device. This thing ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed with Asus’ ZenUI on top of Google’s operating system. 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, while the ZenFone 2 measures 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.9mm and it weighs 170 grams.
There you have it folks, you can now get Asus’ crown jewel from Amazon for less than $395 (+shipping from the UK) . Keep in mind that this is an unlocked device, and that it’s available in Red-Black combination now only. It may become available in other colors soon though, but we can’t confirm that at this moment.
